Microsoft 365 Copilot services

Copilot only works if your tenant is ready. We make sure it is.

Microsoft 365 Copilot can surface anything a user has access to. In most tenants that includes years of overshared files, stale permissions, and sensitive data nobody ever labeled. NBIT gets your Microsoft 365 environment ready, rolls Copilot out to the people who will actually use it, trains them on their real work, and manages it as part of the tenant we already support.

What we do

Microsoft Copilot, defined.

Microsoft 365 Copilot

Microsoft 365 Copilot is the AI assistant built into Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint. It works from your organization's data through Microsoft Graph, which means it can draw on any email, file, chat, or meeting a user already has permission to see.

Copilot Chat

Copilot Chat is included with Microsoft 365 business subscriptions and answers questions from the web with enterprise data protection. A paid Microsoft 365 Copilot license adds deep, in-app access to your organization's emails, files, meetings, and chats.

Copilot readiness assessment

A Copilot readiness assessment reviews permissions, file sharing, sensitivity labels, data retention, identity security, and licensing before rollout, so Copilot doesn't surface information to people who shouldn't see it.

Oversharing

Oversharing is when files and sites are accessible to more people than intended, through company-wide links, broad Teams membership, or permissions nobody cleaned up. Copilot doesn't create the problem, but it makes it far easier to find.

Sensitivity labels and DLP

Sensitivity labels and data loss prevention (DLP) in Microsoft Purview classify and protect sensitive information such as financials, HR records, and customer data, so both people and Copilot handle it according to your rules.

Copilot Studio agents

Copilot Studio lets you build custom agents on your own data and processes, such as an HR policy assistant, a quoting helper, or a knowledge agent for your service team, governed inside your Microsoft 365 environment.

The problem

Licenses are easy. Results are not.

Buying Copilot takes five minutes. Getting real value from it without exposing sensitive data takes preparation, training, and follow-through, and most rollouts skip all three.

Copilot finds the files you forgot were shared

Salary spreadsheets, board decks, and customer contracts sitting in broadly shared folders become one question away. Permission cleanup has to happen before rollout, not after an incident.

Licenses go to the wrong people

Seats get handed out by title instead of by workload. Usage drops after the first month, and the business pays for licenses that sit idle.

Nobody is trained on real work

A generic demo doesn't change how an estimator, controller, or plant supervisor works. Without role-based training on their own tasks, most users stop after a few prompts.

No one measures adoption

Without usage reporting and clear goals, nobody can say whether Copilot is paying off, which makes renewal a guess instead of a decision.

How we engage

A Copilot rollout that sticks.

Readiness first, then a focused pilot, then scale. Licensing and project scope are set after the readiness review, so you only buy seats that will be used.

  1. Discovery call

    60 minutes, no cost

We review how your team works, your Microsoft 365 licensing, and what you want Copilot to improve. You get straight answers on whether you're ready and what it will take.

You leave with: A clear view of readiness gaps and which roles are most likely to benefit first.

  2. Copilot readiness review

    Permissions, data, identity, licensing

We assess file sharing and permissions across SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams, sensitivity labeling, retention, identity security, and license fit.

You leave with: A prioritized remediation list ranked by risk.

  3. Remediate

    Fix oversharing and labeling

We tighten permissions, remove stale sharing links, apply sensitivity labels to sensitive content, and confirm identity controls like MFA and conditional access are in place.

You leave with: A tenant that is safe for Copilot to read.

  4. Pilot and training

    A focused group, real workflows

We roll Copilot out to a pilot group chosen by workload, train each role on its own tasks, and build a prompt library your team can reuse.

You leave with: Measured pilot results and trained champions inside your business.

  5. Scale and manage

    Ongoing adoption and governance

We expand licensing based on pilot data, track usage, reassign idle seats, keep permissions and labels healthy, and build custom agents as needs emerge.

You leave with: Copilot that stays secure, used, and worth the license cost.

In practice

What Copilot does for your team.

Practical, everyday uses we set up and train on. Each one respects the permissions you already have in Microsoft 365, which is exactly why getting those permissions right comes first.

Meetings that summarize themselves

Microsoft Teams

Copilot captures what was discussed, decisions made, and action items with owners, so nobody spends the afternoon writing up notes.

  • Automatic recaps with decisions and action items
  • Catch up on a meeting you missed in minutes
  • Ask follow-up questions about what was said
  • Notes stay inside your Microsoft 365 tenant

Who it's for: Leadership teams, project managers, and anyone in back-to-back meetings.

First drafts in minutes

Word and Outlook

Proposals, procedures, customer replies, and policies start from a solid draft built on your own documents instead of a blank page.

  • Draft documents from existing files and notes
  • Summarize long email threads before replying
  • Rewrite for tone, length, or audience
  • Keep a person in control of the final version

Who it's for: Sales, operations, HR, and leadership teams that write all day.

Answers from your own documents

SharePoint and OneDrive

Instead of hunting through folders, staff ask a question and get an answer with links to the source documents they already have access to.

  • Search across files, email, and chats in plain language
  • Answers cite the source document
  • Respects existing permissions automatically
  • Works best after permissions are cleaned up

Who it's for: Any team that loses time hunting for information.

Faster analysis in Excel

Microsoft Excel

Copilot helps build formulas, spot trends, and summarize data, so managers get to the insight without wrestling with the spreadsheet.

  • Generate and explain formulas in plain language
  • Highlight trends, outliers, and exceptions
  • Create charts and summaries from raw data
  • Ask questions about the numbers directly

Who it's for: Finance, operations, and sales leaders who live in spreadsheets.

Custom agents for repeat questions

Copilot Studio

Agents built on your policies, product data, or service history answer routine questions consistently, so experts aren't interrupted by the same request ten times a week.

  • HR and policy assistants for employees
  • Product and pricing helpers for sales
  • Knowledge agents for service and support teams
  • Governed, logged, and limited to approved data

Who it's for: Businesses where a few experts answer the same questions over and over.

Operations knowledge at hand

Manufacturing and plant teams

SOPs, equipment manuals, quality specifications, and maintenance history become searchable in plain language for supervisors and leads.

  • Find the right SOP or spec in seconds
  • Summarize maintenance history before a repair
  • Draft shift reports and incident summaries
  • Keep plant knowledge from walking out the door

Who it's for: Plant managers, supervisors, and quality teams.

Why NBIT

We already manage the tenant Copilot runs on.

Copilot is only as safe as the Microsoft 365 environment underneath it. We run that environment every day, so readiness, rollout, and ongoing management come from one accountable team instead of a consultant who leaves after launch.

  • Microsoft 365 is our core platform We manage Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Azure environments every day. Copilot readiness is an extension of work we already do, not a new specialty we just started selling.
  • Security-first rollout Our CISSP-led security team hardens identity, permissions, and data protection before Copilot goes live, so productivity never comes at the cost of exposure.
  • Training on your real work We train each role on its own tasks and documents, not a generic demo, which is what turns licenses into daily habits.
  • License right-sizing We track usage after rollout and reassign or reduce idle seats, so your Copilot spend follows actual value.

Common questions

Microsoft Copilot, answered.

What is a Microsoft 365 Copilot readiness assessment?
It is a review of your Microsoft 365 environment before Copilot rollout, covering file sharing and permissions, sensitivity labels, data retention, identity security, and licensing. The goal is to make sure Copilot only surfaces information to people who should see it.
Do we need to clean up permissions before deploying Copilot?
Yes. Copilot respects existing permissions, so if files are overshared today, Copilot makes them easier to find. Fixing oversharing before rollout is the single most important readiness step.
Who should get Copilot licenses first?
Start with roles that write, analyze, and meet the most, such as leadership, sales, finance, and project managers, then expand based on pilot usage data rather than job titles.
What is the difference between Copilot Chat and Microsoft 365 Copilot?
Copilot Chat is included with Microsoft 365 business subscriptions and works from the web with enterprise data protection. A Microsoft 365 Copilot license adds deep access to your organization's emails, files, meetings, and chats inside the apps your team uses.
How do you train employees on Copilot?
Role-based sessions using each team's own documents and tasks, a shared prompt library, and internal champions who keep adoption going after the pilot. Training is built around real workflows, not features.
Can Copilot access data it shouldn't?
Copilot only accesses what each user already has permission to see. The risk is that many users can see more than they should, which is why we review and tighten permissions before rollout.
Can you build custom Copilot agents?
Yes. We build Copilot Studio agents on your own data and processes, such as HR assistants, sales helpers, and service knowledge agents, with access limited to approved content and activity logged.
Where do you provide Copilot services?
Nationwide. Most of the work is delivered remotely, with on-site support available from our Modesto office for California's Central Valley and our Plano office for Dallas-Fort Worth.
