Network Builders IT, a fast growing MSP, is looking for a Network Engineer with rockstar customer service skills and has the technical skills to help design and support the servers and network infrastructure of our clients. Not only do you need to possess excellent communication skills and attention to detail, you also need to be passionate about your career in IT and extremely prideful of the work you do.  A successful candidate will be able to troubleshoot technical issues escalated from our helpdesk and be instrumental in infrastructure customer projects.

Job Summary

We are looking for a candidate who:

What you will do:

  • You will interact with our clients daily and provide technical triage
  • You will help define the impact and severity of the issue and determine the best course of action
  • You will stage and image new equipment for deployment
  • You will work on the latest in security solutions for Antivirus, Email filtering, Web Content filtering, Encryption and Mobile Device Management
  • You will help our team identify recurring issues and how to solve them forever
  • You will obsess about documenting your work and writing scripts and processes, so a problem doesn’t need to be solved repeatedly
  • Configure, install and maintain IT users’ desktop software and hardware issues (current versions of Windows, Mac and MS Office products, etc.)
  • Troubleshoot general network infrastructure problems (networking equipment, printers, PC/server hardware, etc.)
  • Learn and utilize various technologies (Azure, Windows Server, Office 365, Exchange, SharePoint, VMware, Cisco Networking, etc.)
  • Schedule and perform onsite client visits to troubleshoot equipment
  • Process and address incoming service desk requests both onsite and remotely via email, phone or the support portal
  • Assist customers with technology-related moves/adds/changes
  • Troubleshoot PC/MAC issues remotely
  • Document solutions and develop end-user guidelines

Skills / Requirements

  • Microsoft MCSA, MCSE, or MCITP certified preferred
  • CCNA certification required preferred
  • Annual renewal/updating of technical certifications where updates are available
  • Exceptional knowledge of computer hardware, including HP, and Dell. Apple and BDR solution experience a plus
  • Experience with desktop and server operating systems, including all Microsoft solutions
  • Proven track record of developing and providing service level agreements and service department deliverables
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on listening and questioning skills
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Ability to absorb and retain information quickly
  • Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language to non-technical staff and end users
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Exceptional customer service orientation
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers, servers, UPS, and peripherals
  • Valid Driver’s license and reliable method of transportation
  • Ability to effectively follow through on tasks
